In tandem with the Webex rebrand, Webex (dot com) was also reimagined with a fresh new design system. My role as a senior web designer is to serve as a global web design system advocate, user and creative contributor.

A robust and strategic foundational web design system from our external collaborators at AKQA & BASIC took us live but design systems are ever-changing and evolving. The small but mighty internal brand marketing team at Webex took the torch and started jogging – it’s a marathon not a sprint.

New page requests often require fresh design thinking to best support the content being communicated. Within a flexible system we can utilize foundational aspects of the design library while evolving the creative layout to best serve the messaging and story-telling.

Strategic Partnerships
As Webex (dot com) underwent a larger site migration to a new CMS the design team partnered with content creators and developers to audit, strategize and build responsive and efficient page templates. These page templates will eliminate one-off page build requests and allow for more efficient content updates in the future.

Process Advocate
Knowledge sharing is crucial when working within a site design system. In order to bring clarity and definition to processes and projects I utilized Figjam to create and communicate with teammates, internally and cross-team. From project request flows, project kanban boards and asset generation how-to’s these documents ensure project accessibility.
